I have a Kershaw Storm and for the most part I like it. It's simple, sleek, and cuts like crazy, but could improve in two or three areas. I want to have a different thumbstud put in because the one it comes with is ugly. Secondly, I hate skateboard tape grip inserts and want them replaced with something nicer. I know other have done this with Microtechs. Can anyone do this for me? This is a great knife for the money and I think has a lot of potential to be an awesome knife for the money.
Thirdly, think of a Sebenza. You know how when its closed the blade doesn't budge until the proper amount of force is applied, kinda keeps itself closed? Well the Storm uses the same lockbar mechanism with the same little steel ball that keeps the blade from accidentally opening, but it moves a bit, unlike the Sebenza. Granted we're talking about a $25 knife vs a $300 knife, but I'm just wondering if this is normal in all of them, if its just mine and if its fixable.
