LastRonin,
In a few weeks the Georgia Guild is having a hammerin in Blairsville.
This is a great get-together with a lot of fun folks many of which would be glad to help out and I could not imagine a better place in Georgia other than the Blade Show to meet some guys and see how things would work out.
I have not been able to get to the last few, due to some family stuff (helping out my folks on a lot of weekends), but it looks like I will be able to get up there next month. I hope to meet you there.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s time! Get your hammers, tongs, and anvils together and let’s make some music.
Date: Weekend of March 24th, 2007
Times: Thursday - p.m. for the early birds, Friday & Saturday – Can to Can’t,
Sunday – 1/2 day
Location: Trackrock Campgrounds & Stables, Blairsville, GA
Go to:
www.trackrock.com for detailed directions and map, and
information on facilities and other activities in the area.
General Information: We keep getting larger and larger with both participants and spectators, so expect things to be set up a bit different than before. Participants please plan to be flexible as we are beginning to outgrow the barn. For safety reasons we will have to move part of the activities outside. Bare with us this please.
As always we expect you to respect our host’s property and campground.
******Think Safety******
No Safety Glasses - No Forge Time!
You are responsible for your own safety gear. Dress appropriately. No horseplay or unsafe activities will be tolerated. This is a “Family” oriented atmosphere, so behave like your preacher is standing next to you.
If you plan to partake in the Saturday BBQ lunch, you will need to let me know at crex68(at)yahoo.com at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Anthony needs time to plan.
Now, where is that anvil?
