Looking for knifesmith to customize an old knife

Recently I purchased a PAL RH36 pattern knife that is not in good enough shape to call it a keeper. I thought it would be neat to have someone who knows what they are doing customize the blade into a new hunting knife. Don't know anyone local, central Illinois, only knifemaker that was at any of the gunshows I attended last spring was from MO and I did not care for his knives.
Can anyone point me someone that would work with me on this project? I would prefer someone local but if not can work thru the postal system and internet.
