Go with the Dyad. I am a Dyad
LOVER. I use the full sized version of that knife on the boat every day, and it can not be beat for versatility in a single folding knife. It saves the trouble of having to carry two knives on the hot days when you wear shorts with few pockets. It is a knife with a some heft to it, and ATS-55 is an easy steel to maintain.
My only two problems with the dyad are the thin PE blade, and the lack of a lanyard hole. I have small hands so the grip is comfortable. I realize that someone with larger hands may have a problem with discomfort making some styles of cuts. I don't though.
I find I use the SE blade more as I cut a lot of rope, however when cutting net twine or monofilament, the PE's ready availability is unbeatable. Just reorient the knife in your hand.
I haven't tried any of the other two bladed, one handed, PE/SE knives, like S&W, Schrade, Buck, or Browning, but then again, I have no need to.
