Looking for large handle kitchen knives ideas.

What kind of kitchen knives are you looking for: chef's, paring, utility, etc?

What lengths?

Carbon or stainless?

greenwoods, you might check out the Mercer Millennia line of kitchen knives. Their full, grippy handles work well for those of us with weakened arthritic hands around my place. The 7" Nakiri is a particular favorite.

For hands with nerve issues that need larger-thicker handles. Thanks

I'm not as experienced as some, but ya kinda answered your own question.... ;)

This is my smaller handle, my larger version is for bigger hands, or what like you said... Achy hands.

I used my hands my whole life, and realized some handles just didn't Work for me, so I came up with something comfortable.

What would you call large handle? You talking about the girth or the length or both?

In any case what approximate dimensions are looking for.

Any other details as to blade length or steel, maximum price?

Yup, I might have just the one.

Thanks, Crag.
Yes, I have leaned towards larger handled knives in the last few years. My last Keppy has larger, and Hultefors is bigger than my Moras. I guess my question was for less expensive udeas than customs.
The neuropathy has a weird NEW grip thingy, even working my hands with the pt stuff.

I've wrapped many handles with tennis racket, hockey and baseball bat tape to good effect. I was just wondering if there were any fat handled knives on
market that might help. Thanks

What I like even better for tape is that silicone tape that you can temporarily fix a leaky pipe.... I wrap my SYKCO handles with the silicone tape to beef them up size wise.

A custom from Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer was going to be my answer, until I got to the end of the thread, and yes, tape it up.

Silicone or “self fusing” tape is great because it easily removes without leaving behind any residue.

I guess you don’t want to share your ideal dimensions huh?

Not to divert you attention from the wonderful makers here but you could try the old Gerber Balance plus walnut handle knives. They have been discontinued for decades but ae often available on eBay and such, the ten inch chefs knife had quite a hand filling grip. And they are fantastic knives as well as being quite lovely.

Spyderco Moran Featherweight FB01 or FB02 models. Their bulbous handles present a lot of bearing surface area (plus the grippy rubber'ish parts) to the hand, alleviating much of the required grip strength in the fingers.

You can also try a layer of ranger bands (eg. Slide a section of bike tire tube over the knife handle) to improve the grip.
