I've handled them in a Bricks and Mortar, and agreed, they are pretty solid feeling. The online suggests that in general Spydercos are razor sharp outside of the box. But if you are looking at at 3 inch legal limit, Delica vs. Calypso jr., what's your call?

I asked a similar question. Someone responded with a great post about the differences. CJr., flat grind, Delica, sabre? grind. Search and ye shall find. For me, the biggest difference is just feel. The CJr.s choil just makes it fit perfectly in my hand. If you can handle them both, you will know. The CJr. might be alittle more hard to find now.

Caly Jr, it has better ergonomics. That choil gives you a lot more handle than you think you have

The Caly Jr is still widely aval, NGK has them for $40, on eBay you can get them for $35, etc..

The Caly Jr is the knife you want.

Edit: Sorry NGK is out of them, darn. I think Spyderco.com is out too. I guess your best bet right now is Flames and Knives on eBay.

One consideration with the FRN versions which matters to some -- the Delica is tip-up carry while the Calypso Jr. is tip-down carry. Because of this, I personally favor the Delica (but it also makes some favor the Calypso Jr.) Both are great knives!

The Delica as a hollow grind with no swedge so I wouldn't classify it as a sabre grind.

Spyderco - something for everyone!

I'd get a VG-10 Calypso, Jr. if you can find one if for no other reason that it's discontinued. I have both -- I think the Capypso, Jr. is a better cutting tool.

New Graham's line is busy. And it appears they are out of Calypso's anyway. More's the pitty.
