looking for my second HI, but the "for sale thread" does not provide much hope.

Hi guys,

I am just wondering if the only way to get my HI is through the web site-ordering-waiting period, or is the secondary market dinamic enough to wait for it to appear?

They are available on secondary markets quite frequently however you have to deal with sellers with a myriad of ethics or lack thereof. I have noticed you find someone wanting to offload half their collection all at one time at reasonable prices and then you may not see anything at all for a month. Then there's the seller that list them and ask $35 for shipping or something totally unreasonable and those usually just sit there for sale forever. At least buying from the website offers sanity in knowing what your getting and when your going to get it even if it is special order. We probably all buy from secondary markets because many of us are collectors of unique and sometimes no longer available pieces. Secondary markets do have their safeguards and protection systems as well. I myself try to buy from the website or Forum DOTD because that is what supports the entire community here and the Kamis that make these cool blades in the first place.
 
but do HI knives are posted in the general for sale fixed blades forum?...or is there an independent one that I have missed?
