Looking for new backpack/rucksack, would like help

Hey guys, I am looking for a new light backpack or rucksack and need some suggestions. Lately I have been using a cheap Nike drawstring backpack and am looking for something better made. I would like something that is light,low cost, with two shoulder straps and a waist strap. I have been looking at the Maxpedition Rollypoly Backpack, it seems close to what I am looking for but I wanted to see what the ppl in Gadgets &Gear said before I commit to anything.Thanks for any help
 
I'm a fan of Black Diamond Equipment's small packs. I use their Bullet pack and it's near perfect for a small daypack.
 
Osprey Kestrel series. Most if not all come with a waterproof membrane at no extra charge. these things are awesome. Built like tanks.
 
If cost is a factor you would probably be better off finding something online from North Face, Osprey or Kelty that is on sale. They all make excellent packs.

I think the Roly Poly is a kind of last ditch concept, like something to keep in the car on the off chance you'll need a back pack.

If you decide to spend a bit more, I would suggest checking out the Tactical Tailor Enhanced Day Pack. That will last you a lifetime.
 
I second the Black Diamond suggestion; all of their stuff is pretty much bombproof. I have the Bullet pack as well, and it has held up great.
