This might sound farmiliar, but...
I recently bought a Mini-Griptillian. Very nice blade. However, I'm looking to get something a little higher on the spectrum. I have picked out 3 of my faves, and want you guys to give me your opinion.
BM 710 - Seems like an excellent all-purpose knife. However, it also seems a little big - 4in blade? Also, the early runs seem to have had numerous AXIS spring failures, is this still true of the ones avaliable today?
BM 730/735 - sturdy, I like the handle. But is it comfy in the hand? Also, it seems a little oversized with relation to the blade...does it feel that way, ever?
BM 943 - I like this knife the most, however, two things bother me. First, although the handle looks 'grippy', it also seems like it might be a bit slippery. Also, the blade is a bit thin, which may lead to durability problems. Are my fears founded?
I will be using this knife as my primary EDC. Light cutting of paper, tape, maybe some plastics and string, but no rope or anything. Also, I tend to treat my knives rather well (oil them regularly, never use as a prybar or anything), so durability isn't that much of a concern. I am an urbanite, which means I don't need my knife for field work much.
I am always open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!
