Good morning.
I have been shying away from flippers lately. I am on the hunt for a NON flipper. I don’t care if it has thumb studs or a cut out… just no flipper tab.

I am currently rotating between a Manix 2 LW and these Adamas. I really like the thin, pocket friendly Manix at work. BUT I always seem to hit the choil when cutting. That being said, the confidence of the Adamas in my pocket warms my heart. 🤣🤣🤣 But, even the “mini” is huge!

I would like to see your non flipper recommendations.

If you can carry an automatic, have a look at the full size Protech Les George Rockeye.

It’s heavy duty and the choil is barely an indent.

Spend the bit extra and get the textured grips.

BHQ has them in stock now with lots of options and colors.

Supporting Paid Dealer, so linking is ok.

What size and price ranges?
Benchmade Rift
Berg Iron Pup
TRM Atom
Cheburkov Voron/Raven/Crow (not sure if they make a non-flipper, but it has a hole)
Spartan Harsey Folder
*Edited to add:
what about a Microtech GSI?

For inexpensive I really like the QSP Penguins. Once you run up in price I have been really happy with the Microtech MSI.

IMG_2019.jpegIMG_2041.jpegMy R&H Knives Tasca 2 has the hole cutout, it has a nearly invisible flipper tab but it works well with the hole. I like knives with multiple opening options.

Benchmade valet and Bugout are pocket friendly.

Do you need one hand opening? A Buck lockback seems nice.

I am personally a fan of the Kizer Domin and Begleiter. Relatively cheap and good build quality.

My favorites non flipper are CRK (any knives), Koenig Arius, Emerson CQC-7B and Commander, Spartan blades, TRM Atom, WE Banter, Civivi fusion FG

I would like to try a Les Georges VECP

Really depends on the price range. In the range of your Manix 2, I'd say that knife is hard to beat, it's a wonderful slicer and great design. Especially in the LW, you're getting a ton of blade for a very light package with some super premium steel options (my favorite one is in 15V).

If you're willing to double that budget, then it's hard to go wrong with CRK or Les George as several have mentioned, or any RHK non-flipper.

Another vote for a CRK. If you don’t bond with it, take it apart, lube it, and really dial in the pivot. Then, you will love it forever.

Otherwise, the Spyderco Sage line is highly underrated, and extremely good.
