Anyone know where I can find an old style sheath for the 102 woodsman? The type with the fold over button flap. I occasionally see one on auction sites, but always pretty well used.

I'm heading to Buck today. I'll ask around.

Oh......... shucks.......... :) I saw "old" and thought you meant one of these early 102 sheaths:

Yes, the Snoopies are around and finding a good one on e-Bay just takes a little time.

I found this one (with mint mid-60s knife) at a very reasonable price a while back. They're out there.

I have one, it goes with my dads mid-70s 102 that I still have. It's a wonderful example of how to do a fold over snap closure pouch sheath out of leather. This reminds me that I need to apply some leather protectant to it... wouldn't want it to dry out. Anyone have a recommendation for something good but not expensive?

Anyone who still has some vintage leather sheaths like these should try to protect them and keep them in good condition.

Being an old timer........I just use my old standby, Mink Oil.
I've got some Mink Oil tins that are probably older than most of our new Buckaroos.

VorpalRain, do you have/can make a larger photo? Does that sheath have Buck imprinted on the button? I have a sheath like this but it has nothing on it that would identify as Buck or 102. Thanks, Preston

Maybe one of our forum members will know...
Here's a couple of photos of the sheath, a 102 and a flap over 102. Preston001 (800x533).jpg 002 (800x533).jpg 003 (533x800).jpg

This might be an older 102 sheath than you are looking for. I use Skidmore's Leather Cream.

No, that's a pic I found by Googling it. I don't own one of those. They're expensive and hard to find.
The snap would probably have "Buck" on it.....no other markings. Angeles Souvenir Company.
