Looking for Old time Strop

When I was a little kid in the Midwest, I recall the local barber had a huge leather strop hanging from his area. It was 4-5 inches wide and hung down from the counter so it must have been at the very least 2-3 feet long. When he sharpened his straight razor the strokes were very long and involved sweeping strokes as I recall. Does anyone know where one can pick up an "old school" strop like those used by barbers of yesteryear?

If you do a quick Google search for strops you will find quite a few sites that sell the. I forget what the policy is when posting other site links so to be "e-safe", I will just say google "strops". You will find some options.

You could also make one yourself.

There's a couple old ones in an antique store a few miles from me...

Google is your friend, or there's always the -bay.

They still make them, I don't know about 4-5 inches wide but plenty in the 3 inch region.
