Can anyone recommend a good (free) internet , streaming site for TV.
Being in Canada I am sick of getting screwed by the big providers .
Any searches I have done all seem to lead to rip off pay sites.
When I had my satelite I had 300+ channels and really only watched a dozen or so. I am looking for discovery, science, nature shows. that kind of TV
Thanks ...shaker

Canadians aren't the only ones getting screwed by providers >.>

The free-tvshows.com was reported as an unsafe web site. I wouldn't go there if I were you.

tried a few of them and it seems that online TV is going to be harder then I thought it might be lol
guess non of these people who advertize "free" don't really know what that means.

Dude, ninjavideo.net........changed my life. Thats the only site you will need.

I peruse 2 sites for all sorts of video entertainment from movies & TV shows to documentaries, etc. Streams smoothly in DIVX and no fees or registration needed. However, it's all user uploaded content, so ya gets what ya get. :)

www.veehd.com
www.stagevu.com

The best one I know is tv.blinkx.com they have practically every tv show that has been or ever will be!

HAIL BLINKX!
HAIL BLINKX!
ALL HAIL BLINKS!!!

I go directly to the source. abc.com for lost, syfy.com for Battlestar and others. It takes a bit more work, but it's where these one-stop shops get all of their streaming anyway...

Also, recommend Netflix for streaming movies. A great deal if you enjoy older films and/or tv.

I do the same as HomeBru,most of the stations have at least their popular shows on the next day,I watch shows on FOX,ABC,USA,TNT,CBS,some of the shows on USA aren't available until a weeks after they air but I think that's the same as HULU.

I haven't had TV or cable for a couple of years, don't miss it (other than national geographic or discovery) i watch the couple of shows i'm into online.

One i use for watching hockey games is atdhe.com and it's good for more than just sports also justin.tv works for me.

Grab a Rapidshare account (http://rapidshare.com) and start perusing some other forums.

It won't be "free" and it won't be "legal" but it will get you through. Honestly I think Hulu should be available outside of the USA.
