After seeing the Fox Vulpis bladeless model in the KnifeCenter video the other day, I'm strongly considering getting one, because the Vulpis, at about 74 mm overall length, seems to be a nice in-between size, larger than a 58 mm Victorinox, but smaller than a 93 mm, 91 mm, or even an 84 mm Victorinox, and has scissors (which Victorinox famously doesn't make for their 84 mm models). The Vulpis is also available with sexy titanium scales, unlike the Victorinox models, although the Vulpis strangely is not offered with silver aluminium scales.
Now, of all the tools I carry on a daily basis, absolutely none of them get used with as much frequency as the Victorinox scissors, which for decades have been my preferred manicure scissors. I have never owned any multitool with better scissors than those made by Victorinox. So, it is with some trepidation that I consider the Vulpis, and therefore, I'd like to know what people who have actually owned the Vulpis and other brands think of the scissors on the Vulpis. Are replacement springs available?
