i have a multitool; leatherman tti, a folder; benchmade 710 with m390 and a chopper; soon a sykco 1311.

i think I'm missing a 4th one.

fixed blade, something like 5 to 7 inch mostly for slicing/cutting and some light wood work but that can take some beating if needed.

stainless? maybe another blade in m390 or better if possible
not stainless? I'm pretty sure it would be 3v or better

should i go for a custom? or simply get a production one?

can you help me find options?

(unless i get a WOW moment, i wont buy one before February or March)

I would look here in the exchange for some of G L Drew's knives in the fixed blade section, he makes most of his from 1/4 thick 5160 and offers a good variety of knives at really great prices.

If you're into 3v you should check out Fehrman's knives. I've always wanted to try a shadow scout.
I carry a custom puukko for a fixed blade. It'll do anything you need it to unless you want to baton a full size tree.
