Here is a set I laminated of 100% mil-spec ACU digital back in Mar 2009 and finally got around to grinding them out back in Nov 2011, I gave them away soon after I posted the photo here with a different set of hex so they were flush...

Haven't you heard? ACU is "out" now.

I was making a knife and Kydex sheath for a friend's son being shipped to Afghanistan soon (Army MP) and wanted to know what he wanted for a sheath. He said the NCOs told him that they can put anything on their vest that was OD or black, but definitely NO ACU! That made me look it up and sure enough, the gummint has put out bids for a replacement to ACU.

I personally never liked it. Just seemed logical to me that at a distance greater than, say, across a table, ACU just turned a light green.
