Gentlemen, A while back I ran across a posting somewhere that had pictures by the author of himself doing some forging at the reconstructed smithy at the Viking
site located in L'Anse aux Meadows- I would love to find those or any similar for a visual aid on a research project I am doing on bladesmithing, the history and
methods, the current art of, and the use of Damascus/Pattern Welded steel in bladesmithing. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanx, went there on my way here and completely missed it! Duh (working 50+ hrs/wk plus 14 hrs this semester tend to induce dullness and interesting visions!)

It`s in Danish but you can have a look at the pics. It´s a reconstruction of a #%¤*(sorry, don´t know what it´s called in English)from Iceland and about 800 years old.
