Hey guys,
Looking to do a trade blade for blade with
and since i havent been on here in years there is hesitation on both parts. He has asked me to ship my blade out to him first in otder to inspect before he ships his. Ive never done a deal like this and would like some references/referrals.

I've done several trades with this outstanding community and have always had a good outcome. We both shipped at the same time and items arrived as described. :)

I usually do the same and I had great outcomes. I’ve only been burned once and it was enough for me. I use the rating system, if someone has a high enough and all positive rating I feel better about shipping at the same time or first. But if they have no transactions or very little transactions I take the appropriate precautions.

The last person I did a transaction with was FreddY Ramos, from RamosCustomsheaths, but I’m not sure he is on here. EDIT: I had a very positive transaction with Freddy Ramos, he was not the bad experience I mention, I had him make me two beautiful sheaths. I highly recommend him.

No we haven’t , I told him he could contact me on Bladeforums to see that I am in good standing on here. We just sent each other pictures of our knives with a piece of paper of each others names and the date to show proof of possession. Like I mentioned above, I’ve done hundred of transactions between BF and other forums, it only took getting burned once for me to take more precautions. That’s why I only do transactions on sites that have a rating system. I saw the OP’s post of Facebook and didn’t feel completely comfortable sending at the same time because there is no rating system and even references can be forged.

Totally! I sent him my address and offered a FaceTime or video chat to confirm I live at the address provided.

Also in a few days I should have a new rating (if he leaves one) from a member on here that sent out his knife prior to getting paid. Because I didn’t feel comfortable sending pay pal FF and his rating wasn’t very high, he agreed to send out first based on my rating and once I receive it I will send the funds PP FF.
