Looking for Scimitars

I'm looking to buy a couple of scimitars. I live in Canada, as you can see, and I'm looking for a decent set of scimatars that are not handforged pieces, (I haven't got the money for that) but just something that I could order out of a catalogue.
Failing the specific location of scimitars, where can a guy go online to get swords in general?

Hey Dewey,

I'm afraid scimitars are a bit hard to find. The only people I know that are making them are Raven armouries but their prices are so steep you might as well get something custom made. For swords in general I would check out:
www.armor.com , www.albionarmorers.com, www.bladeart.com www.christianfletcher.com I hope this helps.

Cutting Edge Cutlery Co

It's a Sask based company, but they ship...

1-306-374-EDGE

I think they have a couple types, each in the $200 range.

The Owner is Darren, but if you call in the afternoon, you will probably get Frank, the magager.

Dewey,
CAS Iberia has a scimitar in their catalogue, hand forged in the Phillippines for welll under 200$. The Quality is OK for the price, but it doesn't come with sheath. E-mail me if you would like more info. Kelly agiftoftouch@netscape.net

There it is....

I would never go into battle with those, but they are ok I suppose.

BTW, that company above, Arms and Armor(http://www.armor.com/) is a great company in many regards, though their stuff is not forged, it's all machined. Hand forging is too expensive, but they don't even machine forge it. Also, they are sometimes bad about making sure the hardware on the hilt all lines up. That all said, they are the place to go for rapiers and they are good for armor too. For straight medieval weapons though they are too expensive. Just thought I'd add that mini-review since I have bought from them and I have spent much time at their booth at the fair near Minneapolis, where they are based.

I would generally steer way the hell away from Medevial Replicas and from their parent, Atlanta Cutlery. All that hand forged stuff from India that they try to pass off as good is rather appauling.
