The weather up here has been driving us absolutely CRAZY lately. Warm, cold, windy, rainy, sunny, snowing...what the heck!!!?..So after Seeing Les Stroud in the city last weekend we decided to take a little hike in the woods to our favorite, secret, Rainbow Trout fishing spot to see if the ice had gone out yet...My belly was grumbling all the way. I can't wait to start catching some "Dinnah" hahaha =)
anyway...

We found some Toms..

A view of the outlet pond, Still frozen over..A great spot to catch some Pickerel and see a diversity of wildlife..

seeing green poking through =)

New life

The smallest pussy willows I have ever seen, so small the camera couldn't focus for a nice macro shot.

The ice is going out, the weedy area is clear. Soon it will be green..can't wait to catch some Large Mouths in the vegetation.

My Becker and the secret spot =) This knife will clean many a trout this summer I assure you.

Ice..Ice baby!

Bigfoot track????.............................probably not ;)

Chaga

Me removing some w/the BK11

Dresnor getting some of the "harder" chunks off w/the BK2

We left only foot prints =)

Thanks for reading my post..I need to make some time to be on here more often..I'm usually reading over Jeremy's shoulders, but have a hard time getting on the computer lately..Hope you all enjoyed =)

It IS an awesome place..pretty quiet, and well hidden. I also LOVE the smell of burning Chaga, BUT I like the taste of Chaga tea w/Honey better ;) I collected this Chaga for tea. I've dehydrated it and will be grinding it up for later use. Jeremy wanted to use it for a fire but I talked him into using other, more common tinder. =) Thanks for the Reply.

I am from Western Maine, Oxford County..closer to New Hampshire than the coast. Not too close to any big cities, but that's how I like it =)
Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the pics. I enjoyed them. I used to have some friends that lived outside of Bangor. I miss going up there. Nice people. Nice country.

Thanks for the replies and kind words guys =)

Here is the Chaga, all chopped up, dehydrated and ready to be ground into a fine powder for tea =) Couldn't have harvested it if I hadn't had my Becker w/me!!
