I'm looking for pictures or descriptions regarding any modifications anyone has made to their Skeleton Warden that they'd like to share, such as handle inserts (poor man's BAD warden), stripping, wrapping, etc.
Thanks!

Pink Ivory (African hardwood) inserts, hand shaped, pressed in with bench vise. Very solid however they do not match the contour of the cutout exactly. Good for my likes and needs.

I like it better than my Bad Warden.

Wow. Makes me wanna get some wood at the next gun show and give it a whirl. As if I was capable of doing such work at all. LOL

Not a serious mod, but I stripped the spine & tang of one of the infamous 27...

in addition to looking pretty good, one of the unexpected side effects of this high polish finish on the tang that I noticed was that it became a little more 'grippy'... I'm guessing that this is due to the increased surface contact of bare INFI with my palm/hand over that with the coating.

I think they look pretty good all coated...

But I did strip one of mine... looks good in satin.
(but it does need a little more work.)

Soaking in the stripper...

Coating removed, with that grey parkerized type finish...

Locked onto the block where I hand sanded with sandpaper wrapped around a block.

Thinking about adding some burl wood inserts... maybe leaving a slight swell to them.
