Looking for small folder, blade less than 3", PE

The new Benchmade 707 Sequel has BK1 coating rather than the old BT2, which apparently is partially ceramic and thus much more durable than the teflon-based coating.

Although it's a liner lock, and despite being myself more of a lockback officionados, in the high end folder side, I would recommend the black Al mar Nomad. Fit and finish is outstanding, the blade geometry is perfect (full flat grind, drop point), VG10 steel(one of my favs), and its liner lock is very well designed and build.

There has been a run of black bladed Spyderco Delica's in PE not that long ago. I noticed NewGraham only has combo-edges left. You could try Ebay, I'm sure they will popup there.

Otherwise a PE Paramilitary if you can live with a compression lock

The Nomad would be a good choice also. They're very well made.

The only regular production Benchmade knives with a BC1 coating is the 770BC1,771BC1, 771-01BC1 and 773BC1. Benchmade has discounted all of the 77X series but I would think a few or still available. Larry

I believe right now that is only offered in a CE and the blade is also a little longer then 3 inches.
