I am looking for a small folder. Good quality. Take it when I travel. I have been eyeing the Spyderco Spin. I already have a CRKT Van Hoy SnapLock 2. Any suggestions?

Thx in advance.

I just purchased a Delica. Arrived Friday. I am looking smaller. If you look at the size of the Spin or SnapLock 2 that will give you an idea of what size I am looking for.

The Spyderco Spin is a great little stainless steel framelock, that is wickedly sharp. (As all Spyderco's are.) Get yourself a Spin, you won't regret it!

What about a Spydie dragonfly? Really comfortable for such a small knife. I love mine even though I don't carry it. It's around the house for quick or precision jobs.

I have a mini-grip. I like it but I was looking smaller. I ordered a Spin and a Subcom. Why buy one when you can have two at twice the price. I'll still take more ideas though.

Spyderco Centofante 3 or 4. I like the 4 better but some like the more traditional tip of the 3. I haven't found anything the 3 will do that the 4 won't except cut food on a plate. The 3 was a good steak knife.

They are both more refined than the Delica and are quite strong despite the thin blade and light weight. They hav nested liners and smooth FRN which feels nice in the hand. Almost like a gents knife. Make no mistake, the Centofante can work. I took my 4 on a hiking trip and it cut several large walking staffs and did other large knife duties with good results.

I think the Cent 3 and 4 are Delica beaters but no one seems to be as aware of them as the more common Delica.

I recommend one of the following:

Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Crickett

or if you want to bump it up a notch:

Blade-Tech Mouse II with S30V blade and G10 scales
:)

Another vote for a G-10 Byrd Robin, preferably plain edge. Also get yourself a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, something simple like a Soldier or Spartan. While you're at it try Buck's 300 and 500 series knives. You might as well pick up a few Case yellow handled CV pocket knives while you're still shopping around. Oh, and Queen D2 knives are pretty cool. Maybe something with Speed Safe assisted opening like a Kershaw Scallion or Chive?

AG Russell has some very nice Boker barlows. Excellent fit and finish, strong backsprings and crisp half stops. And it won't raise any eyebrows no matter where you are.
