Looking for some 9260.......

Admiral has it.

*Edit: Looks like they don't carry it anymore; or either re-labeled it as 5160.

I as going to suggest Admiral.

Forging it?

Small pieces?

I have found some 3/8 to 1/2 Ekland hex keys in junk shops for cheap.

you might ask some of the guys in the sword makers section. i think some sword makers are using it along with 5160 and L6. so it must still be available some how?

Find out which cars use it for springs !! There was a modification which had Vanadium and Columbium [Niobium] additions , better stuff !

Mete, You just reminded me that I may have an old coil spring that is 9260. I'll have to check.

Used to be when you ordered 1 x 1/4 5160 from Admiral, they sent you 9260 whether you wanted it or not. A couple of years back, I think that Uncle Al has some in 1 1/2 x 5/16 bar stock.

I checked Uncle Al's and didn't see any there listed on line. Pretty sure he'll be at the AKA Show, I'll check with him then. Thanks.

Did you ask Aldo? He probably doesn't have any in stock, but a steel hound like him might know where to find it.

Ray, That chunk of D9 cat spring I gave you might be 9260. I was told that is what they used but have never verified it.

Contact a spring mfg shop. Years ago I got 5160 and some 10XX drops for scrap prices, I believe they used 9260 as well.
