Hi,
I use to be a member here but never posted much, more of a lurker and watcher. In a recent purchase I picked up a couple of old randalls and a newer one. I am just looking for some help trying to ID/Value these. Please call me or e-mail me @207-577-0210 or g3firearms@megalink.net. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide digital pic's.
Thank You, Chris

Hi Chris. If you have photos of the knives, why don't you post them here? We ought to be able to figure out what you've got. (And it will give all of us a chance to look at more Randalls - something that never gets old.)

Value is a toughie right now. I normally consider myself pretty spot-on when it comes to estimating value, but the market for everything (not just Randalls) is so volatile right now that it's a total crap-shoot. This economy has everything screwed-up.

I actually had a great conversation with Ron Mathews on the phone and he was nice enough to e-mail then call me back with a bunch of info. He is more familiar with posting PIC'S on here than I am and said he will put some up this weekend. For you fellows to look at. I too will also attempt it over the weekend. Thanks again Ron, what a real pleasure for all the help.
Chris

Here you go, Chris. Hopefully these will solicit comments from those who know this era better than I.

Take care,

Oh Lord.

The 25-5 in brass is easy. The crutch-tip Solingen 18s . . . Whew! Request permission to come aboard your gold mine, sir! It's a crime that they're in that condition, but still - wow.

Condition is not really that bad. They could clean up real easy. I just chose not to touch them. I really enjoy their history and figured that some of you others may as well. Ron tthanks again for all the help. I will look forward to others coments here also.
Please feel free to chime in, Chris

The Model #25-5 was made sometime between early 1995 and current - the two Model #18's, if original to the sheaths, were made sometime between early 1967 and late 1971; stone type and tang length depth in the handle could narrow the dates down a few years...hope that helps.
