I have a C face motor and I just got a new grinder it requires a motor with a foot. I can't seem to find the right adapter short of welding on a replacement foot which I would like to avoid. Curious if anyone here who has access to the hole pattern of a C face motor, if I sent you a piece of 6x6 angle iron could you drill holes for me and I would reimburse you?

Mods I apologize if this isn't the place. Looking for some shop help here gents

What brand motor is it? There's probably already some drilled and tapped holes around the periphery of the motor frame, maybe 90 degrees off the pecker head or so, that a standard motor base will screw to. Motor frames are very standardized (as long as it's not some obscure offshore brand), and most of them are set up to take a base of some kind.

The manufacturer of the motor will likely offer base plates, but if not, just measure the holes on the frame of the motor and find a base that will fit. If there aren't any holes, a couple of small tack welds should suffice.

$170$ heck you can buy a new 1hp 3 phase motor inverter rated with foot and C face for $145 off the auction site.
