Looking for some info on an old Case stockman

Hi all! The knife pictured below belonged to my grandfather, who used it for EVERYTHING. My childhood memories of this knife, along with a Kabar peanut he used later, are probably the reason I've been into traditional for most of my life.
Anyways, my dad had the blades replaced, seemingly in the early 2000s, by someone who works at Case, so I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what it might have looked like originally. I was thinking, maybe, it's a 6392, but the handle shape seems a bit different. The newer sheepsfoot blade is stamped 63032.
The pattern is really nice...it feels so much nicer than any other stockmen I have. And, since the blades have already been replaced, I don't think I'll have any trouble carrying it. I probably would have just stored it otherwise. I'm just curious as to the original pattern, and blade configuration, and, of course, any other relevant information anyone might have.

Thanks!!

Looks like it may have started as on of the "Pocket-Worn" models.--KV

It's definitely worn! Though the shield, and my memory (even if shoddy) predate the production of Pocket Worn models.

For whatever it's worth, I have a Case Congress celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Pocket Worn series. It was made in 2006. The Pocket Worn series must have began in 1996.

Beautiful covers on that knife, Mike!

I certainly don't profess to be an authority on Case knives (or anything else for that matter) but this looks like a beautiful old, well loved and well worn, 32 stockman in reddish bone. It probably started out with nice, crisp jigging and this is the result of years of pocket carry and use. I've collected Case for a number of years and find that the "standard" published lengths can sometimes be off from year to year. For instance, the 32 is listed as 3-5/8" but I've seen them closer to 3-3/4" on occasion. You mention that you have childhood memories of this knife being carried by your grandfather. Approximately how many years ago was that? Might help with a better estimate of the age of this knife and possible identification.

63032 is probably a good clue, as stamped on the replacement blade. Case made a 3 5/8" 'Gunstock stockman' (clip, sheepsfoot & pen blade config) in pattern number 6332 (5332 in stag) up through the 1970s. Apparently in the 1980s and later, the pattern became the 63032. If the reddish-looking smooth bone is original to the knife, Case did have a 'red bone' version as listed in a guide* I refer to, in the 1940-1955 time frame. Don't know if that 'red bone' version was in smooth or jigged bone.

The 6392 stockman is bigger than this one appears on the ruler, at 4" closed.

Thanks for the replies and complements! Looking at the 6332 that sure looks more like this handle than everything else I've looked at. My memories of the knife go to the mid '80s, when it was already a "few" years old.
