Two of my all-time favorites are the Ritter Mini Grip and the old style Mini Manix. I like the flat ground, deep blade shape and the size of both. Looking for something different and I haven't kept up too closely on new knife models. Just wondering if there's anything new I might check out that's similar to those two.

Thanks!

Spyderco Sage 1 and 2 are my current favorite folders, exluding WH and CRK.

Check em out! They are sweet, and come sharp as heck.

same knife, different lock?

thats the sage. it's a bit smaller than the manix. the sage is spyderco's homage to different knife makers innovations. michael walker liner lock is the sage 1, the sage 2 is the chris reeve integral lock, the sage 3(not out yet)is the blackie collins bolt action lock. all with s30v blades and made in taiwan. the sage 2 is one of my favorite knives.

the manix is spyderco's sprint run baby. cf scales with s90v, blue g10 with s30v, pink g10 with 154cm, green 10 with carpenters steel, plus the standard production black g10 with 154cm. all made in golden CO USA, Earth. The manix is a little big for my EDC tastes but if you like a medium sized knife the manix is your boat.

I was just checking out the manix 2. I really prefer the full hollow grind of the old manix.

the production manix is hollow sabre ground. most of the sprint runs are full flat ground like the classic manix. so far only the pink manix hasn't been full flat ground.

i would go for a foliage green one in the carpenter steel...you should be able to find one on the exchange here

this knife?

How about something like a ZT 350 or a Benchmade 940? Those are different but I think you would like them. Good Luck. Kevin
