Hi everyone!

A few years back I purchased a Kershaw Leek. I fell in love with it and carried it everyday, its my favorite knife I have ever owned. Anyways, a few months ago I moved and have not been able to find it since. Really bummed but I decided its time to buy something new. My original though was to purchase another Leek, but I decided to try out something new in hopes I find my old one. I was hoping someone on here could give me some good suggestions as to what to get. I would prefer a minimum of 3" blade with assisted opening and as thin of a profile as possible with aabout $100 budget. I also prefer the sleek look similar to the Leek. I have been searching online the last couple days and so far I have found the Kershaw Shallot and the SOG Twitch XL that I am interested in but am willing to take any suggestions anyone has. Thanks in advance!

The Shallot and Blur are good choices. Skip the SOG unless you like moderately crappy steel and lots of blade play...

If you're open to losing the assisted feature you are in Spyderco Paramilitary 2 territory. In my opinion, the para2 blows just about everything in this price range out of the water. It is manual opening, but the combination of the spydie hole and compression lock make opening and closing faster than any assisted knife I've ever seen with just a little practice. It's really just an excellent knife in every way.

Hello,

The Shallot is sweet. Look at the H&K Nitrous Blitz 14460, its 154cm, 0.43" handle and it goes for under $100. The Kershaw Volt SS goes for under $40. The Kershaw Purple Web Blur goes for under $100 and its sexy. The Kershaw Zing SS, its not out yet but it looks sweet. If you dont get an assisted opening knife youll have a lot more options but thats up to you.

Have a good one and welcome to Blade Forums,

Chris

Thanks to all of you! Seems like you all agree on the Shallot. I'll definitely look into all the recommendation you have given me!
