Looking for someone that can put a stag handle on a knife

Hello Fellas, thanks for the add. I was wondering if there was any knife makers around Baton Rouge or Lafayette La. that could repair a knife that I have which belonged to my dad. It had a stag handle on it that was damaged in a fire and i'm looking to get it replaced. It's not a fancy or expensive knife, just an old fixed blade hunting knife that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of fire are we talking about, enough heat to damage the blade ?
