looking for someone to show me the ropes...

hi, im loiking for some help in getting started in making knives. i dont have any tools or experience yet but ive been drawing and designing for a bit now. if possible id like to see first hand the process. i live near San Jose ca. and do have some free time. if anyone here lives in the are and would like to help me out, please let me know, and if anyone knows of someone please send me their way! thanks for the help guys! -BadKarma

If possible you should attend the Blade Show West this fall 9/15-9/17.
There will be demonstrations and seminars.You can meet hundreds of makers,many from your area.
In the mean time,check out www.knifehow.com for lots of tutorials and information.

You might want check out the BAKCA web site it is a local bay area group of collectors who put on a show in August that usually includes knife making demonstrations also a number of members are knifemakers so you might want to attend on of their meeting.
