Owning a Case/Bose has me spoiled. Now I want a single (or possibly 2) blade slipjoint with steel liners in the size of a Case Peanut or GEC 22.

Check out the AG Russell pinched peanut. It ain't cheap but it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

Just ordered. Thanks. It's beautiful. Went with European Stag scales. The small blade is the perfect profile for trimming duct tape around handle slabs when I'm fixin to glue up.

Should be here Saturday.

I've been very happy with my Bear and Son 1095 barlow. I don't know whether or not the whole line has steel liners or if some have brass, but the barlow does have steel liners, and they do make a peanut for relatively cheap if you want a beater or toolbox knife. It's made in the US too.

I know Bear and Son isn't much touted on their quality control, but I've been happy with the balisong I bought from them a long while back and aside from an insignificant warpage near the (very thin) tip of the main blade on the barlow, it's rock solid. It's easily as good as my Case peanuts, and I got lucky with the F&F of my Case 'nuts.
