I have seen about three of these knives in my life going through thrift stores. The brand "name" would be three crescent moons with lines on the back of the first two, like in the picture. I have seen a hatchet, a dagger, and the third was a machete. I own the dagger as I could afford it. It gets an edge easy, holds it for quite some time, and I hate to say it but I have used the thing as a probably and it didn't so much as bend a little. On top of that, I believe there might be some chrome in the metal or a silver paint baked in. Here are pictures of the knife and sheath. I believe that brand would be KKC. Do a quick Google search for "kkc knife" and see if that logo looks right.
Reminds me of the infamous Dollica.
