I believe that my RAT-3 uses them, but I haven't taken it apart just yet (I know, I know).
They have a tapered Allen head screw on each side, and a threaded joining tube in the center. It reminds me of an hourglass when assembled. I saw them on a Porter knife this weekend at a gun show but he didnt have any to sell me...
I believe you counter-sink the scales for the bolt heads, but again, haven't played with any.
Anyone used these? I'm thinking with some blue Loc-tite they would surpass epoxy and brass peened pins for scale durability.
