I have a very good friend who lost a sentimental knife years ago in a house fire. It was a single blade, black, brown and cream colored bone handle with the hole at the end for a lanyard. He does not know a am trying to find him one. he said it would be about 35 years old. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Zack

Welcome Mckinney.

Lets start simple. If you can get together with your friend and get to a computer, do a google search for "Case Knife Patterns". There are a couple sites that have pics and Case has made just about any patern known to man.

Browse the pics and see if he can spot the pattern that he had.

It may not have been a Case that he had but you can narrow down the style of knife he had.

Once you have that we can move on to the next step.

Thanks,

Chris

Lanyard hole should help narrow it down. Less likely to be CASE. Remington maybe?
The colour of that bone sounds like it was stag.
