So after trying many Spydercos Paramilitary 2, Para 3, Para 3 lw, Native 5 lw. I finally arrived at the Manix 2lw as my favourite Spydeco knife mainly because of blade shape. the ergonomics and lock are also wonderful.
I would love to edc a spyderedge and sadly there is no Manix 2 with that available (yet hopes up)
I have handled an ukpk before and love the ergonomics and blade shape and it is available in a fully serrated magnacut salt version.

To the pro se poeple. will I love the ukpk because of the se or will I just miss the Manix 2lw and never carry the ukpk?

How could we possibly know? Many people here seem absolutely certain that a knife MUST lock open or it's totally unsafe to be within 10 feet of (I'm not one of them, btw). Frankly, the M2LW and the UKPK are far too different to draw conclusions about one based on the other. Personally, my SE daily carry is a Police 4 LW in K390.

You're going to have to find out through personal experience. Not having all the answers is part of life, but I have every faith that you will figure it out. If you are just seeking opinions on the matter, you'll get a million of them and honestly, you'll probably just end up being even more confused about the UKPK vs Manix 2 lw or if something else is even better than either of those two given your preferences.

Good luck with your journey. We all go through it and it's not a bad thing.

My favorites Spyderedge knife is the Caribbean Sheepsfoot. They're discontinued now, but you can still find them.

Find yourself a Leafjumper SE. They are still out there (often at great prices) To me more useful than a Chaparral as it’s more hand filling … and bigger 😎

Have you had any experience with a Lil’ Temperance 3?
It’s slightly smaller than the Manix 2 LW, but it comes in a fully serated blade and when locked open, it’s as solid as a fixed blade.IMG_3857.jpeg
