looking for stabilized wood?

I just ordered some Stabilized CA Buckeye from Frank Jacobs @ http://jakeknife.com/index.html and would recommend giving him a call next time you're looking for some scales.

I called Frank up (accidentaly awaking him and his wife I think) and gave him ideas as to what kind of coloring/burl I was looking for. He sent the book-matched scales out the same day and they are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for.

Additionally, the prices are much lower than those of the larger suppliers and you can actually talk to the person who stabilizes and selects the pieces.
