Years ago a shooting buddy of mine lent me his CR Sebenza (small) and I like it, but due to the cost and the fact that it wasn't mine I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I would today. I really would like to put my hands on a few of the folders and see the differences between the models. I am in northern IL. Any stores, dealers or gun shows you can recommend where there will be a dealer? I'm ready to buy, just not sure what.

Thanks for the suggestion, I checked there 1st. I was at a gun show a year or so ago and one of the vendors is a dealer. Anyone that can point me in the right direction your help is appreciated.

GPKnives is right outside of St Louis if you want to make a 3/4 hour trip. KnivesShipFree is in Escanaba Mich if you want to take a long trip as well. I know there are some dealers in Northern Illinois outside of Chicago, but I'm not sure which ones and how they are. I am currently in Central Illinois so I completely understand your pain. There is nothing near me and everything I buy is a blind buy.

I drive 70 minutes one way to GPKnives. I like to see what I'm buying because I have high expectations (picky). My wife likes going so I have company. Some brands just need to be inspected before buying. I have been to about 10 knife stores and GP has one of the BEST Reeve selections I've seen. My wife and I got our large and small 21's from there.

Also, don't judge it by how it feels in store. It needs a few days/weeks to break in and smooth out. You also learn how to hold and open it, like all new knives. I liked it a lot from day one but started really loving my 21 after a few months. I stopped carrying all Spyderco, Benchmade, ZT, WE and several other brands. The 781 Anthem has stolen my pocket time back. Once the honeymoon is over, I suspect the 21 will come along half the time and the Anthem the other half. Anyways, your love for a Sebenza only grows with time. The more you use it and cut with it the sooner you'll bond with it.

If you ever choose to shop online KniveShipFree posts the actual picture of the knife and will allow refunds for up to 30 days for store credit or exchange.

It's the second best experience bar none to actually shopping in a store.

I bought mine from GPKnives, waited so I could pick it out in person. Right off I70, great place. Don't expect a discount.
