Looking for suggestions for an EDC utility folder

Hey there everybody!

I have a really great ZT 301 that I love, but I'm beginning to think that it might be just a bit too large a blade for EDC in my life here in suburbia- I've gotten too many comments on the Ramboesque size of it. So, I'm soliciting any and all suggestions of a folder with similar qualities:

A thick blade, frame lock, ti scales. assisted opening, solid construction.

Pretty much all the things I love about my ZT, but featuring a shorter blade length, which is of course more sheeple friendly. Say something around 2 1/2 to 3 inches perhaps.

Now I realize that no two knives are created equal, and that it's sometimes tough to find a blade that meets all your requirements, but I'm certainly open to any suggestions on knives that might be in the ballpark. Oh, and lets pretend that price is not an object ;)

Thanks!

I don't know of any knives that would have a thick blade and have such a short length. Maybe the Kershaw ZDP Mini Cyclone. Another suggestion might be a Small Sebenza, but it's not AO.

I know, it's quite a laundry list. But I thought I'd throw it out there and see what comes up. Thanks for your suggestion ignoramus

I don't have one myself, but you might want to check out the Strider PT.

Not AO though, but otherwise seems to cover your other wants in a folder.

Good luck in your selection.

My favorite is the Kershaw Blackout. The Kabar folding Warthog is a close second.

How about a MIni Cyclone with ZDP-189 blade, and titanium frame lock? It IS a great knife!

I will second that. I just got mine about 30 minutes ago. This thing is awesome. Fit and finish is perfect. the on/off toggle for the automatic open is a neat feature. Lock up is very solid(half the blade is locked in) feels great in the hand and rides in the pocket very well.

You let the wrong people see your knife.

Try the Buck Mayo TNT - much more PC for that crowd, not AO, but maybe that's what you don't need in front of the desperate housewives and their female spouses.

I've carried a Strider SnG for a year and nobody even mentions my knife. I've never had need to pull it out in front of them, so maybe it's me.
