Looking For Suggestions.....

How about a hiker with very thin shoulders to make it extra slicey?

How about doing some type of scandi bushcraft. I would love to see you do something a bit different. But then again, all your knives are really nice. Just looking for something out of the box.

My Scandi Bushcrafter never really caught on, maybe a new design.

I know what MY August special will be. Keep an eye out for a new template soon headed your way. Something with a blade ~ 2 1/2" x 3/4" x 3/32" with thinner handle scales in orange G10. Handle will be ~ 4 1/4" long. Stainless steel 1/4" pins. Leather pocket sheath.

Looking forward to seeing it!

I like your style, and I think I would like it even more in a hidden tang. So I would suggest a hidden tang kep or the michigan trail knife.

i would be all over a straight spine, with no choil or hand guard of any kind, very simple...edge right up to the handle slabs...like an old hickory boning knife without the edge stepdown from the handle, but between 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" blade length, flat grind, 1/8" thick or less, slight thumb grooves right in front of the handle. With natural micarta handles (personal pref, not a requirement) No super curvy handles, nice and simple. Big thong tube for lanyarding around h2o, and either a kydex sleeve sheath for a pocket (my personal favorite), or a leather pouch with hanging ears, like the skookum bush tool sheath. But thats just what I'm into :D

Straight-back kephart?

Mr S- very close...id get rid of the hand guard all together, so the edge goes right into the handle...like a Nessmuk, but with a straight spine. I guess it would be a straight spine Kephart with a Nessmuk handle :D

I would definitely like to see a hidden through-tang on any number of knife styles from John, August special or not! :P
