Hi all,

I thinking about a decorated sebenza, after looking at tons of pictures on the web, I've narrowed it down a bit, but I still haven't found one I like _a bunch_.

I like the more "radical" handles often seen in conjunction with a damascas blade, but I want the BG 42 poilished blade. I also don't
care much for the designs that look like snail tracks, tool chatter marks or random gouges. Lines, bubbles, maple leaves :-), and etc are fine as long as it's bold and balanced. ( I mean no disrespect or anything negative by those descriptions, I'm struggling to define designs in a manner I can get a mental "handle" on. ))

Do I keep looking, or do I contact CRK and see if they would do something for me in the manner I'm looking for?

Advice appreciated,
DaveH

DaveH-

Don't give up looking. It's been said that no two decorated are alike, so you are bound to find something you like, eventually. I have seen some I really like and some that I don't- but I'll tell you what- they are all gorgeous in person. Still, it's important to get what you're going to be happy with. I know that if you contact CRK, they'll work with you on a special design- just be prepared to wait and then wait some more.

Have you tried Dennis Wright?(he's around here somewhere...) I heard he's got some available. Arizona Custom Knives just updated with some new ones, and Red Canyon Knives usually has a nice selection of decorated models w/the polished blade.

Just keep on keepin' on!

Thanks, I've visited Red Canyon, AZCK, and contacted Dennis. I'll keep my eyes open.
( The tiger stripe one was interesting )

In my opinion, the tiger stripe was the best I've seen so far. If I could get it with a BG42 blade I think I would shell out the cash.
