Once again I have an idea about what kind of knife I want to be my next.

I'm looking for slip joint with a turkish/california style clip point blade, with or without a swedge. Long pull preffered, but not a must. Wood, bone or micarta for the handle.

It can be a multi bladed knife, but I would prefer to have only one blade. I also prefer carbon steel, but stainless is OK.

New or old. I'll just put $150 as a max price so you have something to go after.

Hard to find a Turkish Clip with a longpull I think.

Take a look at GEC's recent 66 Slim, they have a very nice streamlined Clip and Pen on one spring.

Excellent suggestion. Mine is an amazing knife.

Right you are Mark. Here's mine with a 15 showing the difference in Clip blade.

My favorite is a GEC #42 trapper--I have one in Cocobolo and Natural Stag. Perfect size, the clip point you mentioned + one more blade (neither a spey or true drop point, but closer to the latter)--it is smaller than the #23 but large enough to get most tasks done. The ones I have began as serious bear traps but have broken in nicely after daily use. I'll take some new pics soon and post them.

I agree with Woodrow. The Dixie stockman has a great Turkish clip. Here is mine in natural stag with the Wharncliffe blade out. I bought it because both the Wharncliffe and Turkish clip are favorites of mine.

That's some remarkable stag on that one.

I've been pondering getting one of those Dixies myself. I favour those blades but I suspect the knife to be too big and heavy for my needs, now if it were 3.5" that would be another thing......:D

Regards, Will

How about commissioning a custom knife and get what is most important to you in a knife?

Sogflash, I've carried and used lot's of knives and my collection is diverse. I recently picked up a canal street half moon trapper and the little turd hasn't left my pocket. Usually a week or two after I carry a new knife I dip back into my knife drawer and switch it up hasn't happened yet. The pocketability and long blade have kept me content. Every summer my wife and I set up a 12 by 12 plastic pool for my boy's drained it last night and it's not gonna last another year, long story endless cut it up with the CS and packed it in the garbage lots of sand and grime later the blade still bit into the palm of my hand. Solid piece of gear if you ask me.
Respectfully, Chance.

GEC did some 48 pattern knives with a single turkish clip. I believe they were part of Charlies SFO diamond jack run.

The GEC 82 is a great stockman pattern with a turkish clip main.

Then you have the Schrade 93ot/893 jack and the Schrade 61ot stockman.

I'd look at a Texas Toothpick.

Great idea! Here's a Tidioute Toothpick in Smooth Ivory Bone. Not sure how many were made as it doesn't appear at all on GEC's 2009 production chart. Just a very fine slim and ergonomic but solid knife. 4" closed but doesn't feel as big as most 4" knives. Can't recommend it enough.

GEC made several 48s as singles, not just SFO knives. Here's a Tidioute in Tractor Green. Thanks, Will.
