One of the local shops had a new Carbon SRC stupid cheap because it had been damaged during shipping. So, after Windham told me they would warranty it and cover shipping both ways, I picked it up. I know nothing about AR's. I had been looking at an M&P Sport 2 or maybe a DPMS but the WW fell in my lap. Anyone have any experience with them? I figure if I don't like it I should be able to flip it for a pretty decent profit.

I try and stay away from polymer ARs but if you're into it cheap and can sell it, go for it

What is the damage? Regardless, ship it back and have them fix it. They make good stuff and stand behind it so you should be good to go.

I kinda figured they weren't extremely durable since the upper is what had been damaged. It's just for plinking but if they're known to have issues I may just move it. Although they did tell me I can have the upper and lower changed to aluminum for $135. I got it so cheap I could do that and still be $ ahead.

I already have. Tracking shows I'll have it back Monday. There was a crack in the upper rail. I'm kind of surprised they covered it since technically it wasn't their fault. So far their customer service has been top notch.

For a range toy sure why not. I wouldn't have a polymer AR as my main rifle though. They are light weight enough already, making one out of polymer wasn't necessary in my opinion. But Windham is great, they make good rifles. They're what Bushmaster used to be before they went to shit. Post some pictures when you get it.

I'd been wanting to see how I liked the AR platform for awhile and I couldn't pass this up. I like to tinker so I figure if I really like it I'll probably end up building one. This was just a crazy cheap way for me to try one. I'll try to remember to post pics tomorrow evening.

Well, here she is, back from the factory good as new. I need to tear it down tonight and clean it up. They oiled the hell out of the bolt carrier. I added some Diamondhead sights and a Bushnell red dot I found cheap. It's no Aimpoint but it'll work for now. Hopefully I'll get to run some rounds through it this weekend.
