Looking for USA made Kershaw with lock in handle

First I want to apologize for such a newbie post.

I'm not a knife collector and really don't know much about them. I'm an auto tech and years ago I bought a Kershaw Scallion on a whim off the Snap On truck. I'm due for a new knife and want another Kershaw with assisted opening that's made in the USA. I saw one on the Snap On truck that has the lock in the side in the handle. I don't know what model it is because they are not in boxes. Does anyone know what model I might be talking about? I don't want to pay the truck price and I do not see it listed on Kershaw's website under the USA models.

It reminds me of this one only the one Snap On has says USA on it.

Is this style lock better, worst than a liner lock?

The RAM is a solid knife, you will get daily use out of it if you work on cars all day i would think. And it is one hand opening and closing which should be useful if you have another tool in the other hand.

I like the RAM's lock a lot better than most liner-locks. The RAM is a hell of a good knife all around.

If you want to get a RAM, you might want to find one sooner rather than later. They've been discontinued, so they'll probably get harder to find after a while.

Another knife on my list (a long, long list) to get one of someday. I haven't checked lately, but kershawguy.com (a big part of this forum, a great guy, delivers great service) used to have some for sale on his site. Don't hesitate to buy from him; I have purchased several knives from him, and have been more than satisfied every time!

I agree the RAM is a great knife. Definitely an upgrade from a scallion in my opinion.
