looking for a victorinox like the cadet, with out the file. But i want scissors, a toothpick, and tweezers also. anything close to that that out there that you guys know of ? Their website blows, way to hard to sort threw to find what you looking for.

so really i want this, and only this :

large blade
bottle operner w/screw driver and wire stripper
can opener w/ screw driver
scissors
toothpick
tweezers

that would be ideal and amazingly perfect. i have not seen it yet, but im not that into vitorinox so maybe someone else can inform me that this knife does exsist. thanks.

Ditto on the Victorinox website, I was trying to wade through it last night, gave up in the end. Sounds like a good package you're after.

Hi There
not sure where you are located , but just looked through the Heinnie Haynes(major UK knife retailer) catalogue. There isn't a Victorinox that meets all your requirements in their stock, the closest seems to be the Outrider, it also has a saw and reamer; or the Recruit, which doesn't have scissors. If you want to try Wenger the Climber or Metal 50 are close but not perfect matches.

either get a supertinker, climber or the slimer compact... they are al bigger (91mm) since the cadet is 84mm... and victorinox discontinue scissors in 84mm models years ago..

Closest I can think of is the Recruit. There's no scissors, instead it has a small blade.

On their website, just punch in what you want they will show the knife if they haveit.

If you're here, you have access to Amazon.com.
Go there, they have a bundle of Victorinox models with full feature descriptions.
You can even order one. :)

That's how & where I obtain new ones, I can see features & prices, and I've bought five or six that way.

I don't think they make that exact combination. The large blade, scissors, and bottle+can openers each take up one layer, so you'd be looking at something that is 3 layers thick. I believe all those are going to have tools on the back, as well as a small blade.

The two that come to mind are the Super Tinker and Climber. Those include what you listed plus:
- Small blade (shares the layer with the large blade)
- (on back) Phillips-head screwdriver (on Super Tinker) or Corkscrew (on Climber)
- (on back) Hook
- (on back) Reamer/punch

If you wanted to custom mod one, you could get two Recruits and a Super Tinker or Climber. One Recruit will be your base. The second Recruit will be cannibalized for one of its separators and backspacers, and the Super Tinker/Climber will be cannibalized for the scissors. If you really want to get rid of the small blade, you might see if the slightly larger main blade from an Alox Pioneer will fit in that space. No idea how feasible that is, but it's a thought...

Try your hardest to get one with Alox. It is alot better than the plastic.
(Not that the plastic ones suck, but in contrast, it is better.)
I have been carrying a Pioneer for about a month now.

closest thing i can find is the super tinker, but i dont need 2 blades, as i carry a 3.5" blade or larger every day anyways. so the large blade on the sak is my small blade.. and i dont need as stupid as hook that i find usless, and i dont need a reamer. i prlly wont buy a sak till i find one with excatlly what i want and only what i want. just dont get the other combos.

You could get the Super Tinker and just not use the other tools. They fold away nice and neat, so they don't exactly get in the way.

Every now and then, somebody does some tool shuffles on various model SAKs, and some even find their way to the exchange here. You could keep an eye out there, or maybe commission one of them to make a custom one for you. The main blade from the Alox Pioneer is a bit larger and thicker, but it looks like it might still be possible to fit it in the celluloid handle models if you grind down the thickness at the tang.

I agree. trying to find the right knife is a Pain in the a..

I took ages choosing, picked mine and only realised after I brought it, it had no can opener (its the hunter with the skinning blade - which I am happy about).

They should have a selection tool where you can just click which things you want in the knife and it gives you a list for comparison.
