Im looking for a HD EDC folder and after posting and getting recommendations, I managed to get my hands on some better quality knives, but haven't found "the one." I also have not been able to handle many good knives locally.

Below are some characteristerics I liked and thought you could help me find a good HD EDC folder!

1) Assisted opening! I loved that feature!
2) Axis lock, or something similar, followed by liner/frame lock.
3) Grip somewhat between a Benchmade Axis Tanto and a CRKT M16! I liked the size of the Tanto but preferred the length of the M16.
4) Long, heavy blade, over 3.5" and willing to go up to 5.5"!!
5) USA made (hence I've found myself looking at mostly Benchmade and Zero Tolerance.)
6) Keep the price under $200 for sure...I've moved up from $150 as there were a lot of nice ZT's in between these two.

Thanks for any/all assistance!

How about the Benchmade Barrage Axis Assist. It has a 3.5" blade, Axis lock, assisted opening, made in USA, $130

I've found the Benchmade 581 Barrage to be amazing. Great M390 steel, very comfortable in the hand, and is certainly eye candy. The blade on my came very sharp and had a lot of bite in the wood I would whittle. There are many other designs that I would love to get from Benchmade, but I'm sure glad that the 581 was one of the first knives I got from them!

I handled a Barrage and the grip is too bulky for me. The Axis Tanto has a smaller grip and its still a tad too big. The CRKT M16 has a nice slim grip, but I d prefer something in between that and the Tanto with the length of the M16.
