a well-made custom folder. willing to spend up to $ 350-450 for it. Would need a blade length of 2.5 inches or less, strong lock -up, clip is optional, like integral or frame locks, blade stell and shape can be flexable. I have a sebenza, but need something smaller for work (military). The 2.5 inch blade is federal law and base regualtion and would like to stay out of trouble. Any advice ?? Thanks to all

Check out the knives of A.T. Barr who is a member of these forums. He can most certainly make you a knife with the dimensions that you require, within the price range you are looking for. The link below will give you an idea of his work. The knives pictured have longer blades than you are looking for, but you will get an idea of the quality of his work.

There are many other fine makers on Bladeforums that could make you a knife that would fit your requirements. Tom Anderson, Brad Duncan and Mike Obenauf come to mind. To all those whose names I have not included, please forgive me. This was not done as a slight, it is just that I am familiar with the work of the above makers.

How about a Terzuola Wee-T??? This one is a bit more than your budget but I think that's because of the stag scales...

Mastersmith PJ Tomes makes a number of different models of small, strong, sheeple friendly traditional style folders. His double lock back 'moose' folder would serve you well and give you Two 2.5 inch blades at the same time. Go with Sandvik 12C27 steel for economy and stain-resistance, and jigged bone scales for economy and function.

Well, if its frame lock you want, try one of Tom Mayo's TNT's. He is the maker of choice for folks wanting to upgrade from the Seb.
