.....any & all articles on tactical folders and the associated categories, i.e., a primer on tac folders and their design parameters.

I'm fairly new to the forum, but by no means new to edged weaponry. I'm looking for something that will give overviews and descriptions, pros & cons, comparisons, etc. (i.e., comparison between liner locks vs axis locks/drop point vs. tanto / Moran vs. chisel grind, etc., etc.). Specifically - "articles" vs pissing wars within a forum:)

I'll keep searching both here and online, but I'd also very much appreciate any and all directions I might pick up here:)

Thanks!

john

May I ask why? If you're trying to figure out which knife you want, it would probably be better for you to explain what you want out of the folder. Then people can give you specific recommendations based on what you want out of your knife. I'm also not sure what classifies as a "tactical" folder. I'm thinking black blades, serrations, overbuilt, and designed to appeal to a mall ninja.

Otherwise, I think you'll probably have the best luck perusing the review forum, and using Google with the search term of the knife you're looking for, followed by review. That's the most common place to find pros and cons.

I would suggest visiting Practical Tactical here at BladeForums. Or have you already conlcuded that what goes on in BF PracTac is merely "...pissing wars within a forum"? It isn't.

Here at Bladeforums WE ARE the source of info lol :) Describe your perfect knife and price range and let us soldiers of fate do the rest. Be warned, the knife buying process can be....habbit forming.

If you're looking for reading material - I'd get a sub scription to Blade magazine & Knife World. I'm not advocating either (actually I am). Knife World has an excellent section offering numerous books on cutlery related items, companies, How-To's, history, knife maker legends... If that is what you're looking for. Also, just look thru this site - information abounds.

What you are asking for can be easily found within these forums, however, knife information that diverse is not going to just be 'set up' in any one thread or sub-forum.

As previously suggested, subscribing to Blade magazine could greatly help you in your search.

Godan,

It seems that you are interested in knife reviews as a whole. You make reference to "edged weaponry", some elaboration would be nice. I would recommend starting on youtube and see if that provides you with some reference.
