Hi guys,

This is my first post in the Rick Hinderer sub-forum and I thought I'd say that I'm extremely excited to get my hands on one later this year. I've been lusting after Hinderers for quite sometime but they've always been a bit cost prohibitive; however, I recently got my Navy contract and ship date so it looks like I'll finally be able get my hands on a Hinderer thanks to their wonderful military pricing.

At any rate, I recently found a picture of a Hinderer blade grind that I'd like to end up with. I'm pretty sure it's not the typical bowie grind but it sure looks like a bowie style. Anyone know for sure?

That is the Aggressor grind my friend - great choice of grind but there aren't many in the wild so it will be an epic hunt to enjoy!

Wow, the first result on Google was an XM-18 aggressor grind that went for $2250. Maybe I'll be reassessing my blade choice.

LOL - That's actually well below today's secondary market I believe brother, they are worth it though no doubt. And you can always attend shows then try your luck at the lottery.

That is the Awesome Aggressor Custom. Any blades that are hollow ground are customs & are not avail at the pricing you seek. The knives avail for military pricing are the flat ground stonewashed blades. You 2 blade shapes avail are the Spanto & Slicer.
If you really have your mind set on that Aggressor (don't blame you, it's a Wicked Blade!), BLADESHOW is the next opportunity to try your luck at the lotto, if you get one there it should be in your price range.

i've seen aggressor grinds go for 5k so ...:p
yesterday i saw a flame - hellfire for 6K somewhere, i dont remember where exactly

Yeah, much love for the Aggressor. There was one with a green ano'd lockside, and bronze clip/filler tab at the Monkey Muster Show in March... I fondled it copiously! IMO it was THE Hinderer to get in the Monkey Muster Lottery.

Anyway, as others have said, excellent taste in grinds, BUT you can't buy that grind thru the Hinderer MIL/LEO/EMT/EMS program. The only grinds avail for that program and pricing are the "production" flat ground Spanto and Slicer grinds (both of which are EXCELLENT grinds!).

Regardless, thank you for your upcoming service... and congrats on your upcoming (whenever you pull the trigger) XM! :)
