I have sorta been looking at these for a while, but not too hard(money has been short). However I will soon be in the market for a new folder. I was curious, all the ones I am finding are aluminum, and I really like g10. My search function is limited(work computer), is the torpedo model made in g10? And if so is it sub $250? Any info would be great, and any PM's on where to find one would be appreciated. If this is a silly request just let me know since I am still new to HTM/DDR. Thanks in advance.

The very first versions of the Gunhammer were made with g10 scales. Back then they were still in the prototyping stages and called Maxx Q m1a if I'm not mistaken. The Gunhammer has gone through various, what I call, evolutions over the years. They have not been made with g10 scales since those Maxx Q m1as. They are all aluminum unless you go with a custom, which is made with titanium handles. The Meyerco Gunhammers do use g10 scales, and they are way sub 250. Something like 40ish IIRC. You can order an HTM Gunhammer with g10 inlays, however. It will cost a bit more since this is one of the few custom options available to the HTM line.

Well I might just have to go with the aluminum then, I don't have the money or patience for custom :D Thanks for the info.

You'll be very happy with a Gun Hammer. Here's some pics of mine with inlay and "hand rubbed" blade.

Well I went back and forth for a bit, but decided that I will be getting one as soon as my paycheck hits the bank :) I am going to get the bowie/torpedo blade un coated. Crimson, can you throw a pic up of yours next to something for comparison :D

There's my three go-to blades. Gun Hammer gets carried most often, but I like the Rift and Ritter Grip also. They occasionally find their way into my pocket. Never found a ZT/Kershaw that I liked enough to carry, and the Spyderco Manix 2 sometimes makes it.
